2. Be Honest About Who You Are
It's normal to want to put your best foot forward during the beginning of a relationship and show your sparkliest most charming self, but don't take it overboard to the point of exaggerations and white lies. There's only so long that you can keep up that front, and things can become complicated once it fades away.

If you hate hiking, don't say you own a pair of shoes and basically camp every month. If you hate jazz music, don't walk around with a beret just so you can impress your new crush. Sooner or later it will come out that it was all a front, and the connection you built was made on a false foundation.
