14. Show Your Appreciation
This isn't so your new interest feels appreciated and might grow a stronger connection with you (though that's a bonus,) but practicing to show acknowledgement and admiration makes you more open with your feelings. Which is an especially helpful exercise if you have felt closed off or shy with little confidence lately.

When they compliment you, thank them. Share with them how they make you feel, or when they make you smile. If they look nice in their date outfit, highlight what you love about it and why it makes them look good. If you're having a nice time, tell them how happy you are to be on that date with them. It's a practice in becoming a little more vulnerable.
