It Happened On Fifth Avenue
The charismatic Victor Moore stars as a hobo who squats in a Fifth Avenue mansion in this 1947 film, bringing friends and former veterans in to stay with him, only to have the wealthy daughter of the homeowner come home unexpectedly. When she falls for one of the men, she convinces her parents to come down and pretend to be homeless to get to know her new paramour. Originally intended as a Frank Capra film, the famed director passed in favor of working on It's a Wonderful Life. Yet Moore's charm and an Oscar nod for original story make this a heartwarming watch worth your time.
