She Had A Fear Of Flying
After experiencing a serious bout of turbulence in 1982, Franklin developed a fear of flying and no longer goes on planes. But that doesn't mean she doesn't get around.
“I’ve been to California from Detroit four times this year and Florida. I go wherever I choose to go comfortably on my custom bus,” Franklin told the Today Show in 2012.
