5. Ringo Starr Quit The Beatles
The Beatles had their ups and downs throughout their careers, and one of those plummets happened in 1968, when Ringo Starr temporarily quit the Beatles during the recording of their White Album.

After arguing with Paul McCartney over one of the tracks, he announced he was done with the band and flew to Sardinia to cool down. While there, the rest of the band sent him a telegram saying, "You're the best rock 'n' roll drummer in the world. Come on home, we love you." It did the trick.
