13. They're Not The Same As Golden Retrievers
While yellow Labradors have golden coats, that does not make them synonymous with Golden Retrievers. 

Golden Retrievers are a breed of their own and were recognized by the AKC in 1925. While they might look similar, they have important distinctions. Labradors are blue-collar working dogs that were bred to fish and work in fields, whereas Golden Retrievers were bred in the UK to be aristocrats' hunting dogs. This gives them different personalities and slight variations in body types.
