The Most Stunning Royal Tiaras And Their History

8. The Spencer Tiara
Princess Diana wore the Spencer Tiara for her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles, and wore it numerous times after. While Queen Elizabeth II had loaned out numerous tiaras to different royal brides on their wedding days, Princess Diana decided to go with a family heirloom for her own big day. The Spencers have been English aristocrats for centuries, so it wasn't shocking that they had a tiara or two in their vault.

The tiara that Lady Di wore was over a century old, though it changed over the decades. Diamonds and parts of the tiara were replaced and toyed with over the years, but the headpiece has stayed the same since Princess Diana wore it.
