Cartier Halo Tiara
On her wedding day in 2011, Kate Middleton wore the Cartier Halo Tiara. It was fitting that she chose that particular tiara for her special day, because it has romantic roots. In 1936, George VI commissioned Cartier to create the piece for his wife three weeks before he became king. It was then passed down to Queen Elizabeth II on her 18th birthday, who lent it to Kate as a wedding gift.
