The Most Stunning Royal Tiaras And Their History

3. The Brazilian Aquamarine Parure Tiara
This stunning tiara has Brazilian origins, hence the name. Queen Elizabeth received an aquamarine parure necklace and earrings from the Brazilian president in 1953 as a coronation gift on behalf of the people of Brazil. In 1957, the Queen decided she wanted a tiara to match the dazzling set, and commissioned Garrard to create the piece. The country of Brazil kept gifting her more aquamarines throughout the years (like during her first state visit to Brazil in 1968,) and the tiara has grown larger and larger in size over the decades.
