The Most Stunning Royal Tiaras And Their History

9. Queen Mary's Diamond Bandeau Tiara
Queen Mary's Diamond Bandeau Tiara was made in 1932 to specifically house the diamond brooch that is suspended in its center. Queen Mary of Teck received the brooch as a wedding gift in 1893, and she thought the best way to display it was to wear it in a bandeau-style headpiece.

When Queen Mary passed away in 1953, she left the tiara to her granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth II. The headpiece hadn't been publicly seen since her passing, until Meghan Markle famously wore it on her wedding day in 2018.
