Based off of the novel by Caleb Carr, The Alienist is a psychological thriller set in 1896, and is following the hunt for a serial killer who is murdering boy prostitutes across New York City. A band of outsiders are called upon by the police to track down the murderer, taking us down a winding mystery, while giving us a peek into the wealth, corruption, and innovation of 19th century Manhattan.
