8. Gut Reaction
You might be constipated more often as you age. Medications like diuretics and iron supplements, and certain medical conditions such as diabetes and irritable bowel syndrome, can contribute to the problem. Eat lots of high-fiber foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and drink plenty of water. When the urge to go hits you, don’t ignore it. Holding it for too long can also lead to constipation.
