16. Be Compassionate Towards Yourself
There might have been things that you have done that you regretted, memories that make you cringe, or words that have been said that bring you great pain or strip your self-confidence. Rather than wallowing in resentment, treat all those missteps, regrets, and negative feelings with compassion. Allow yourself to feel them, but also forgive yourself and give yourself the space to move on. By being empathetic, understanding, and lenient on yourself, you give yourself the space to build back your self-esteem.
