Being alone is scary, totally. But you can feel scared and still do things even if they make you feel uncomfortable for a minute or two. After all, that's how we grow!

So take that workout class even if you think you'll look foolish. Go take that dance class even though you have two left feet. Join meet-up groups to find like-minded people that share your hobbies even though you will feel shy going alone, and put yourself out there and try new things. You can't grow if you're constantly holed up at home where it's safe and comfortable. Allow yourself to bloom.
