26. Remember: You Are Not People's Opinions Of You
Only you can define yourself, and all the negative comments that your partner or others said about you are simply not true. They're one-sided and stem from just one perspective, and oftentimes have been inflated in order to hurt you or were born from their own pain.

Acknowledge that what others have said has chipped away at your self-confidence, and then put it away and take control of your own identity. Only you get to decide who you really are.
