9. The Queen's Approval, 2002
For many years, the queen refused to meet Camilla. Finally, around 2000, the two met at a 60th birthday party for Constantine II of Greece. Prince Charles hosted the event, and the queen attended, finally giving her unspoken approval of the relationship. A further acknowledgement came when the queen invited Camilla to the Golden Jubilee, and Camilla sat in the Royal Box behind the queen for one of the concerts. But it still wasn't an easy road for the couple. There were those who wanted them split up.
