18. 'The Graduate' (1967)
"Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?" Clearly. Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman), a recent college graduate with no well-defined aim in life, is seduced by Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), one of his parents' friends. Meanwhile, Benjamin is falling in love with Mrs. Robinson's daughter Elaine (Katharine Ross). You can't talk about it without mentioning the soundtrack — it boosted the profile of duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. And thanks the success of the title track, the soundtrack rose to the top of the charts in 1968.
