6. Have Clear Boundaries
As with all relationships, establishing clear boundaries is crucial to the health of a relationship. This means you have clear expectations around your time and resources. For example, you don't have to babysit every time they ask, unless you want to. On the flip side, you don't get to just show up unannounced whenever you want to, unless that is ok with all parties. It just makes good sense to be up front and clear about boundaries.
