15. 'Wish You Were Here'
Emily Maxwell has been a widow for about a year when she decides to gather her family at the lake house for one last summer before she sells it. Six family members come, from her children, to their spouses, to Emily's grandchildren and in-laws, and the book takes a look at each of their lives and studies how dysfunction usually goes hand-in-hand with family. But even as past rivalries, disappointments, and hurts resurface, the deep love that was always there gets uncovered, too.
