12. What's Not To Love About Connecticut
Surely, there is a lot to love about living in Connecticut. But there are also plenty of reasons for people to leave. For one thing, the state has the potential for natural disasters, including severe thunderstorms, flash floods, snowstorms, hurricanes and tornadoes. There have been 13 declared disasters in Connecticut since 2011. And in 2011 alone, there were five different natural disasters.

That's probably enough for many to want to exit the state. And, since over 30 percent of those leaving Connecticut are retirees, it would be logical to assume that they're seeking a more hospitable climate.
