24. What's Not To Love About Michigan

With the decline of industrial manufacturing, cities like Detroit are in a desperate state of decay. And, local industries have left behind their share of issues as well. The state is plagued with contaminated drinking water. Michigan could have as many as 11,000 sites contaminated with PFAS compounds. These chemicals are linked to cancer and other illnesses. This is not an issue exclusive to Michigan, but it's reached a crisis point in some Michigan cities like Flint.
