15 States Americans Don't Want To Live In Anymore

8. What's Not To Love About South Dakota
South Dakota can be downright inhospitable. This state can have blazing hot summers (reaching a record high of 120 degrees) and frigid winters where temperatures can drop to -58 degrees Fahrenheit below zero. The average temperature in South Dakota is 45.24 degrees — a bit on the chilly side for a lot of folks.

Another issue plaguing this state is a lack of diversity and few opportunities for new jobs and career advancement. Quite simply, people want more than is available in this meagerly populated state.
