20. Take A Trip
Memories of family vacations are something that we can look back on fondly, especially in difficult times. As a kid, my grandparents took my sister and me sailing through the Puget Sound of Washington State and on a cross-country train trip to Niagara Falls.

If you can afford a vacation rental or a cruise, that's wonderful. Full-blown vacations aren't necessarily accessible to all families, though. A great alternative is a day trip to the beach, zoo, or other close-by attraction.

You can easily spoil a child with things, but it's much harder to spoil them with experiences. Whatever you choose, the time spent with your grandchild will enrich both their lives and yours.
