7. Confront Yourself
“Tidying up means confronting yourself,” Kondo writes in chapter one of Spark Joy, and tidying your wardrobe means you need to get honest about your spending habits. 

Do you buy pieces on impulse, without thinking how they will go with the rest of your wardrobe? Do you buy things to feel happier, and then forget them once the buzz runs off? Do you really need five cocktail dresses when you go out about once every three months? The process isn't just about cleaning, but getting honest enough to hopefully change your lifestyle into a minimalist one.
