12. Get Regular Trims
Since your hair isn't as strong as it was, it's important to get routine trims to snip away the dry dead-ends, and leave your strands looking fresh and healthy. Fried ends will only magnify the "dry hair" look that you want to avoid.

"You should get a trim every six to eight weeks for longer styles, and every four to five weeks for shorter styles," Romero recommends.
