2. She Has 11 Siblings
She’s the fourth of 12 children born to Robert and Avie Lee Parton. Her mother was a homemaker who loved singing and telling folk stories, and her father was a sharecropper who later tended to a small farm. Most of Dolly’s happiest memories were from her life on the farm, which inspired her to write "My Tennessee Mountain Home" in the early '70s.
